Community Action - Take a pride in Fife
Improving the Environment - Tree Planting

Take A Pride In Fife encourages and supports local people and community groups to take action to improve their local environment and community.

So far a Take A Pride In Glenrothes (TAPIG) group exists and a Take A Pride In Levenmouth (TAPIL) group has recently been established. Eventually there will be seven 'Take A Pride' groups across Fife (see map).

Each group will improve local environments by helping community groups and residents with environmental projects.

Examples of environmental improvement projects include:

  • A litter campaign
  • Renewing shrub beds
  • Planting spring bulbs
  • Hanging baskets
  • A dog fouling campaign
  • Enhancing entrances to villages or precincts
  • General environmental improvements to your community
  • Increasing the recycling facilities in your local community
  • Improving pathways (for cyclists and walkers)

If you are interested in environmental work in your local community, or are a member of a local group considering an environmental project, and would like further information please contact us.
